Today we visited GELAN Safety Solutions B.V. at DP World in Waalwijk. Our goal for the day was to calibrate two detection gates to ensure they are functioning optimally. These calibrations are crucial to the safety and efficiency of the site. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the team from DP World ,who escorted us to the respective Garrett Metal Detectors gates. We first conducted a thorough inspection to assess the current condition of the detection gates. We then began the calibration processes. Calibrating the detection gates involves resetting the sensitivity and accuracy of the sensors. This ensures that the gates can accurately detect metal objects without causing too many false alarms. During the process, we performed several tests with different types of metals to ensure that the gates were functioning correctly. After the calibrations were successfully completed, we documented the results and discussed them with Martijn Mertens of DP World We also advised them on regular maintenance of the gates and the importance of periodic recalibrations to ensure they remain in optimal condition. We look forward to working with DP World again in the futureto support and improve their security measures.

We are pleased to announce that we recently completed a successful calibration of the Garrett Metal Detectors PD 6500i metal detector gate at a night shelter in the southern Netherlands. This project underscores our ongoing commitment to providing reliable and accurate security solutions, even in the most critical environments. Calibration is an essential part of metal detector gate maintenance. It ensures that the gate operates accurately and efficiently, which is crucial to the safety and well-being of those who depend on night shelters. Regular calibration keeps the detectors sensitive enough to identify metal objects, but also robust enough to minimize false alarms.

This weekend is the time again, King's Day 2024! For many of us, the event season begins after this, full of great festivals and better weather. For an event at the Theater Amsterdam today, GELAN Safety Solutions B.V. made the preparations. Our colleague has supplied and installed security equipment on assignment, to ensure the event runs in good order.
