Over the years, Gelan has secured a wide range of events, but has also provided companies with their security plan. In the projects below, we look back at our highlights of the past years.

Cargo

The luxury ships are once again fully moored in our ports, ready to sail thousands of passengers to their holiday destination. Before the passengers can enjoy their well-deserved holiday, they are first checked for prohibited goods. Gelan has already been allowed to equip a number of cruise terminals with security equipment such as the metal detection gates from Garrett and the baggage scanners from VMI.

Defense

At Gelan, we are particularly proud of the valuable partnerships we have with the Ministry of Defence. These partnerships enable us to make a crucial contribution to the safety and security of military facilities and government buildings.

Security is of the utmost importance to defense institutions. By using our X-ray scanners and detection gates, everyone, from employees to visitors, can enter the facilities of the Ministry of Defense in a safe manner. Potential threats are identified and neutralized in time, ensuring the overall security within these critical infrastructures.

In addition to increasing security, our systems also contribute to an efficient flow of people and goods. This prevents delays and ensures that daily operations within Defence can continue without interruption.

Court buildings

At Gelan we are very proud of the partnerships we have built with various courthouses in the Netherlands. These partnerships allow us to make an important contribution to the safety and security of these locations.

We supply X-ray scanners and detection gates to courthouses across the country. These advanced security systems play a crucial role in ensuring a safe environment for visitors, employees and judges alike.

Warehouse

We are proud to have delivered two fantastic VMI Security scanners to one of the top three logistics companies. These scanners will ensure a good and safe handling of the incoming and outgoing flow of goods. The logistics company, which is one of the top three in the sector, has built a reputation for excellent service and reliability.

By investing in the latest technologies, such as the VMI Security scanners, they continue to strengthen their competitive position and ensure their operational excellence. The delivery of these VMI Security scanners marks an important step in the further digitalization and automation of the logistics sector.

We look forward to seeing the positive impact this technology has on our customer’s operations and continue to strive for innovative solutions that contribute to our partners’ success. In addition to delivering the two fantastic VMI Security scanners, we were also able to provide valuable training on the use and benefits of these scanners.

TEFAF 2024

We, as Gelan, are very pleased with the partnership we have with TEFAF. TEFAF is a fantastic fair that showcases some of the most beautiful works of art in the world. It is an honour for us to be able to use our security systems to contribute to the safety of this prestigious event.

Our technology plays a crucial role in preventing theft and stopping suspicious or prohibited items. By using our advanced systems, we can detect potential risks early and prevent unwanted items from entering the fair. This ensures that artworks and other valuable objects are well protected, and that both exhibitors and visitors feel safe.

Decibel outdoor 2024

We, as Gelan, are very pleased with the partnership we have with Decibel. We are proud to be able to use our technology at this festival, which contributes to the safety of all visitors. Thanks to our innovative solutions, festival-goers can go to Decibel with peace of mind, knowing that their safety comes first.

Defqon.1 from 2022

The collaboration with Defqon is a testament to the trust that major events have in our technology. The successful deployment of our X-ray scanners at Defqon illustrates how technology can contribute to the safety of large-scale events.

Intents Festival from 2022

We are extremely proud to have supported Intents Festival with our X-ray scanners from VMI Security and are happy that everything went smoothly. It is an honor to be involved in an event that places such high value on safety and fun.

Using our advanced X-ray scanners, we ensured that all visitors were checked quickly and efficiently, contributing to a carefree festival experience. We are delighted that we were able to make a valuable contribution to the success and safety of Intents Festival.

Eurovision Song Contest 2021

Around 200 million people worldwide follow the Eurovision Song Contest, including around four million Dutch people. This musical event was first organised in 1956 and the Netherlands has won the Eurovision Song Contest four times since then. In 2019, Duncan Laurence won the Eurovision Song Contest for the Netherlands with his song Arcade. In 2021, after forty years, the Netherlands will once again host the Eurovision Song Contest, with Ahoy Rotterdam as the location for this large-scale spectacle. And us?! We were given the honour of providing security for the Eurovision Song Contest in Ahoy Rotterdam. A unique experience that we look back on with pride.

UEFA EURO 2020

The 2020 European Football Championship, also known as UEFA EURO 2020, is the sixteenth edition of this prestigious quadrennial tournament. This edition is also particularly unique. In consultation with the 55 countries eligible to participate, UEFA decided during a video conference to postpone the European Championship to the summer of 2021 and to spread the matches among eleven host countries, including the Netherlands. In the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, where we at GELAN Safety Solutions are responsible for the security. We are once again proud to be involved in an event of international significance.

EU Agriculture Summit Genk

This week there was a meeting organized for the EU summit of the agricultural sector at the Thor Park in Genk. Gelan has made a great contribution to the smooth running of this event in collaboration with mundo SECURITY and To B-Seen. Once again our thanks also to #DeKoerier for the large-scale transport of our materials.

EU Fisheries Summit Bruges

Last weekend we were in Bruges at the Beurs-, Meeting- en Congrescentrum (BMCC). The European Ministers of Fisheries were there for an informal Fisheries Summit. This meeting was organized because the fishing sector is in very turbulent waters. We were allowed to place Detection gates from Garrett Metal Detectors and X-Ray systems from VMI Security for the highly secured event.
